Shelter is the debut LP from the Grammy-nominated artist and producer group junior state, with 12 new original tracks each within the realm of relaxing ‘jazzhop’ or ‘chillhop’, spanning influences of 90’s Hip-Hop, Jazz and R&B. For the fans of early releases from J. Dilla, Pretty Lights, Badbadnotgood or Shigeto, you will really enjoy this one. After dropping a slew of epic remixes over the past couple months the guys return with an all instrumental album that shows off their unique skillset to blend hip-hop with chill elements of electronic and jazz music, a wildly universally digestible style of versatile music. junior state is already on course to release two follow-up albums to “Shelter”, expanding their sonic repertoire with the addition of live vocals and instrumentation, with the first expected for early 2019. Check out the Spotify stream below and under that check out a new mix where they throw in some ID's! Enjoy.
