Jason Ross has released his brand new single Don’t Give Up On Me featuring Dia Frampton. The single marks his second release on Seven Lion's Ophelia Records. Jason has been making quite a name worldwide, however, fans of Seven Lions have been quite familiar with his work as far back as the Seven Lions Jason Ross b2b back at Above and Beyond’s ABGT250 as well as collaborations such as Higher Love, The Sirens, and Ocean. It is no surprise that the two work so well together since Jason’s flair for mixing up progressive house and trance with flashes of melodic dubstep fits so perfectly in the Seven Lions mythos.
Don’t Give Up On Me begins with the graceful singing of Dia Frampton over a wonderful piano melody. The track builds progressively as Jason’s melodic bass begins to build. At the drop powerful synths combine with a wonderful melody creating an expansive landscape of sound. Aggression and beauty all in one, Don’t Give Up On Me clearly belongs on Ophelia Records.
Here is what Jason had to say about the track: “The track started off as a simple piano progression that can be heard in the intro of the track. This was around the time where I really started experimenting with the melodic dubstep sound and I knew I wanted to take it that route. When you're making a new genre of music that you're not accustomed to, you really start to second guess yourself, but with this track, I knew it was something special and I was proud of how it turned out.
I first heard of Dia when I remixed Illenium‘s ‘Needed You'. She has such a kind and beautiful voice. I sent her this track and she sent me back the perfect vocals. It matched so well with the emotion I was trying to convey in the music. Really just a pleasant and fun experience working with her!”
Jason Ross will be releasing “ROOMS” on Anjunabeats in early 2019 but for now, you can purchase ‘Don’t Give Up On Me’ on Ophelia Records HERE
