Last month Insomniac made a major announcement regarding the expansion of EDC. While the company's flagship festival is held in six locations around the world, they are expanding to a new Asian market in 2019. They will be touching down in Seoul for the first ever, EDC Korea.
Not only is EDC heading to South Korea, but the event will be held at a full-on amusement park, SEOULLAND. Considering all previous iterations of Electric Daisy Carnival have been turned into amusement parks in their own right, we can only imagine this setting will be nothing short of iconic.
Insomniac owner and CEO Pasquale Rotella had this to say about the decision to expand into Korea:
“Right now, there’s an energy around dance music in South Korea that inspires us to bring EDC there. We have a great venue, an amazing partner, and most importantly, a community that is embracing dance culture in an exciting way. I look forward to another unique and memorable EDC experience in Seoulland.”
