Crystal Skies have teamed up with We Are Fury on the bass-heavy track Looking For You featuring Pauline Herr. Four of the industry’s most creative minds come together to create an emotional track. We Are Fury is a Canadian duo whose made a name for themselves recently with the success of the 2017 EP Signal Fires as well as some monster remixes for Illenium, Lookas & Krewlla, and Mako to name a few.
The duo which makes up Crystal Skies is on the verge of no longer being the best-kept secret in the music business. Rarely have I ever had a conversation with anyone in the industry about Crystal Skies where the phrase insanely talented is not said. Not only has Crystal Skies released jaw-dropping EP’s in Serenity and Continuum, but they have also remixed powerhouse artists like Seven Lions as well as collaborated with some of my favorite producers in Au5 and Koven.
Looking For You begins with a digital feel as synths lay the groundwork for Pauline Herr’s commanding vocals to shape the song. A tightly wound snare snaps as the negative space fills in and the song grows larger. The track is dripping with pain and emotion as it tumbles into the bass filled drop. Thundering bass rolls as the snare cracks like a whip. The expansiveness of this song is simply astounding. Studer stepping out of the drop the song returns to the emotive verse until the final drop crashes down. Industrial knocks and pings rain down like a broken clock who's gearing just snapped. Bass so full it pretty much lifts your elbows up in the Trap position while simultaneously causing the biggest smile to instantly frown out into a bass face. This track is a monster.
