Twin Cities producer Elijah Hill has released a trap remix of the collaboration that caught everyone off guard, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road”. The original single has been gaining major traction on the pop charts the past couple weeks (currently #1 on Billboard at the time of this post). While the single falls more into the hip hop category, its southern vibe from Billy Ray gives the song some country music roots. It was just a matter of time before someone twisted the hip hop half of “Old Town Road” into a trap banger. Elijah’s remix has some added kicks, a banging trap/future melody and is sped up to the perfect danceable tempo. This remix may be the ticket for “Old Town Road” to see plays in the club!
