Ultra Music Festival fans, great news has finally come upon us about the official location for the festival's 2020 edition. After what feels like centuries of not knowing what was in store for the world-famous festival, the Miami City Commission officially voted on a contract that would bring back the festival to its true home, Bayfront Park. After a few long hours of discussion, the Miami City Commission voted 3-2 in agreement with the proposal.
In return for the festival coming back home, there are a few things that need to be changed in regards to the event. One of these changes is the removal of some stages, Oasis and possibly (not yet confirmed) a Resistance stage. Payment will also be owed to the city in fire and police expenses. The payment was reduced from its initial $475,000 to $308,000.
Although many people are cheering about this decision, Miami Downtown Residents are disappointed. It is likely that meetings will be held for these residents to voice their opinions and concerns.
We can't wait to see Ultra Music Festival return home. What do you think of the news? Share with us your thoughts in the comments below.
