Together with the Dutch dance label Spinnin' Records and his long-time label partner Warner Music Central Europe, DJ and star producer Robin Schulz has launched his own label: Under the umbrella of “Mentalo Music”, Robin Schulz will act as label owner from the end of May onwards and establish new artists. The starting signal will be the single “Oxygen” with the Swedish singer Winona Oak, which will be released on 29 May.
With hits such as “Prayer in C”, “Sugar”, “OK”, “Speechless” or his current single “In Your Eyes” he has already collected more than 6 billion streams worldwide, has received a total of over 260 gold, platinum and diamond awards in 30 countries and is currently the most successful German artist abroad. After many years and experiences behind the mixing desk, Robin Schulz is now taking the next step and dedicates himself to the work as producer, music promoter and label owner with Mentalo Music.
“A dream is coming true with the start of this label”, explains Robin Schulz. “I want to share my passion and offer young, upcoming as well as established artists the platform they need to release their music. Mentalo Music stands for diversity and will dedicate itself to this task with the greatest motivation and commitment. I am looking forward to the adventure and will try to add another successful chapter with my experience and my team.”
“We are very proud that we can launch a new label together with Robin and Spinnin', this will further strengthen our position in the dance genre”, Andreas Weitkämper, Managing Director Domestic, Warner Music Central Europe, is pleased to announce. “As we have been working with Robin worldwide from the beginning, we are more than happy to take the next step with him. To run the new label Mentalo Music together with our colleagues and friends from Spinnin' Records makes it ideal. And the most important thing: The sound is brilliant!”
“The cooperation with Robin Schulz at the launch of Mentalo Music feels great. He is an artist with an impressive CV, whose music fits perfectly to what we are looking for on our label. It's a great honour to welcome him to our roster, with a label that will certainly raise the bar” adds Roger de Graaf, CEO Spinnin' Records.
