While 2020 has had quite the tough year, Joseph Kosinski, the director of Tron: Legacy revealed some interesting news about unreleased Daft Punk music.
For the 2010 sci-fi thriller, Daft Punk scored the official music soundtrack including their hit single “Derezzed.” This was the first time the electronic music duo decided to create a movie soundtrack, which of course was later released by Walt Disney Records.
Ten years later, Kosinski hinted that there were several Daft Punk songs that did not make the final soundtrack. “I can neither confirm nor deny that there may be some incredible music that we weren't able to fit in the movie,” Kosinski said. “Someday it would be nice to figure out some way to share that. Disney needs some other revenue streams right now. I wouldn't be surprised if we try to do that at some point. That'd be great.”
