If you’ve been watching the news lately you’ve likely heard about the current craze around NFTs (non-fungible tokens). In response to a non-existent live music scene due to Covid, forward thinking record label Maverick's Playlist are once again hosting a virtual festival: “Proxima” where people can come for free and also buy their favorite artists’ NFTs at the event. Though many of us are still stuck indoors, we can all party in the realm of virtual reality.
In collaboration with Recall Network, Maverick’s Playlist has announced Proxima, a one-of-a-kind experience that will allow users to use keyboards or VR sets to experience complex lights and visuals in this virtual reality music festival. Using a custom built stage inside a VR platform called Sansar, Maverick’s Playlist and Recall Network will showcase some massive EDM names, such as powerhouse FiASKO (with over half a million followers on TikTok), Space Race, Teknicolor, Perses and many more.
Proxima will be live streamed on Twitch from 6 PM to midnight EST, on May 29th, 2021. Anyone interested in participating in the event can RVSP here.
