As movie-goers are anxiously awaiting Disney's new ‘A Wrinkle In Time' motion picture, filmmaker Ava DuVernay announced on Tuesday that her soundtrack will feature a roster of female artists for the film's soundtrack.
DuVernay reached out to the Nigerian-born British singer Sade Adu in hopes to bring her back for this soundtrack. Despite not releasing a new single since 2011, DuVernay described her as the perfect fit for a song called “Flower Of The Universe.”
“I never thought she'd say yes, but asked anyway. She was kind + giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I'll never forget,” the Selma director wrote on Twitter. “…And it's a dream come true.”
In addition to Sade, DuVernay has pulled in artists like Demi Lovato, DJ Khaled, Chloe x Halle, Kehlani, and Sia.
