Logic and Marshmello Drop Spring Anthem ‘Everyday’

This is what music is all about right here. Bringing together two powerhouse artists at their respective crafts and creating a damn shwinger. Since taking on the industry, there has not been a second to breathe for the man in the Mello helmet. He has been traveling the world playing at the greatest festival and club stages, dropping new music on what seems to be an almost regular basis and can’t seem to stay off the Top 100 track lists, currently with two tracks sitting in the top-5. Just when you thought he couldn't top 2017, he has hit the ground running in 2018 with what is set to be an even more dominant year.

After dropping his “Everybody” in 2017, Logic imprinted on the industry his ability to run with the dogs and stand out from the rest of the pack. His ability to change pace at the drop of a Rubik's cube has mesmerized hundreds of thousands on YouTube and as a staple on his “Everybody's Tour” (which SOLD OUT arena's across North America). Bobby Tarantino, not to be mistaken for a Hollywood Film producer, the American Rapper has continued to embody everything we look for in an artist, the ability to captivate the masses while delivering on the messages “mainstream/mumble rap” refuses to touch. His message is simple and can be seen across a multitude of his tracks:

“Everybody people, everybody bleed, everybody need something
Everybody love, everybody know, how it go
Everybody people, everybody bleed, everybody need something
Everybody love, everybody know…”

Since Logic took to Twitter to announce this drop, we have been wondering what stylistic approach this track would take. Conclusion, it’s an anthem. In my opinion, “Everyday” is one of of Marshmello’s best produced tracks to date while Logic comes in and drops his unique style to round out the perfect track to bring in Festival Season and the Spring season. While the production kicks off with heavy EDM elements, once Logic’s voice kicks in, the snare drops and we are delivered into a “pop-trap” beat. I think I just created a new subgenre. The jumpy beat has the ability to captivate not only EDM fans but can be applauded and commended by the devout Hip-Hop fan. This is not an instance in which a Rapper is looking to capitalize on the lucrative EDM industry, though the end result is the same, the production stays true to Logic’s career in hip-hop while implementing dance music’s roots through the genius production by Mello.

Peep the track below and add it to all your playlists. Darty season is right around the corner and you can expect many Pabst Blue Ribbons to be chugged to the sound of Mello & Logic.
