As 2018 continues The Chainsmokers push forward with exploring new sounds. While the guys are keen at further pushing their sound into the main stream consciousness, they have found decent success operating outside of their comfort zone. While we did not exactly love ‘Sick Boy', we were seriously impressed with their follow up, ‘You Owe Me'. Even then, while there was a mixed critical response to the duo's first single of 2018, ‘Sick Boy' has gone on to rack up over 100 million streams and top several charts.
Now though The Chainsmokers have announced that new music is on the way. In fact they have promised a lot of new music will be dropping in the coming months, but one single in particular is just on the horizon. Will they continue to experiment or return firmly to an EDM paradigm with their next release? Only time will tell, check out the announcement below.
