Not being able to get to Miami this year, my mind, body and soul ached. I even contemplated dropping $800 on a flight on Friday morning with the goal of scalping tickets. Ultimately, I made the business decision to cut my losses and enjoy the live stream. As Friday progressed, the fomo grew but Ultra TV kept me in a partial right-mind. Journeying through the weekend, I came to the conclusion that this was BY FAR the biggest that Miami has ever done it. That set in when Jauz took over the mainstage and absolutely rocked the entire State of Florida.
The set itself, set itself apart from many of the other Mainstage sets bringing out many elements of Electronic Music that came hard to find at UMF. Those of us in attendance were taken back by awe and those of us on the couch found orselves headbanging while Hey Arnold! reruns played in the background.
This afternoon, shuffling through Twitter I came across Jauz's recollection of the event. It really makes you think about how much of a Job it is that these World renowned DJ's have. From traveling to putting their pieces of art together, it goes unnoticed more often than not how much of a toll it can take.
Ok…. it’s 9PM in London and I’ve slept all day since getting here this morning and had enough time to mull everything over and finally can appreciate just how incredible Miami was this year. What a fucking week man

Firstly, for the second year in a row @zedsdead and I got to host our own party with an insane lineup full of homies, sold out with 4,000 of the craziest fucking kids in Miami. We got to play basically a full throwback dubstep set and the crowd was ELECTRIC

Then, without sleeping, we flew to Vegas where I played not one but TWO shows on Friday, in between spending every minute making sure my set for Ultra was absolutely fucking perfect. I prob should have napped but I couldn’t even think of sleeping till I knew I was good to go.

Then again without sleeping we flew back to Miami at 4 AM to make it back in time for Ultra. still spending every second I had working. My nerves were probably at an all time high. Playing mainstage to me felt like it was 4 years ago, opening up Worldwide stage all over again

I was more exhausted and nervous than maybe Iv ever been befor a show, but 30 seconds into my @ultra set all of that went out the window & all I could feel was adrenaline and energy. Idk what I looked like but in my head I played that whole set with the biggest smile on my face

I got to play 4 records off my new album, some of my favorite electronic songs of all time, and most importantly tried to play as much music as I could that I felt like no one else would be playing on Main stage. And you guys were on fire the whole time, from start to finish
— SHARK IN THE ZONE (@Jauzofficial) March 27, 2018
I got to perform my new single with @example , a guy I’ve been a fan of since I was 15, who flew all the way to Miami just for this moment. This song is the opposite of a “Mainstage” record but looking out at the crowd it felt like I was playing Levels or some shit. Speechless.

And to top it all off bringing out @AdventureDub to perform our new record on the album. These guys have been around since the first song I ever wrote, 5 years before Jauz, and it was such a full circle moment I couldn’t think of any better way to close the show than with Gold.

Im exhausted just reading this. But, if you listened to the masterpiece that was put out for the World to hear, you will understand the worth and effort that goes into making these events so enjoyable/memorable for the spectators, not only AT the event, but across the globe watching. Going from one coast to the other and back again all for us, the fans. Shout out to Sam and big ups for throwing down one of the most memorable sets of the weekend. Rest up young padawan, we are not worthy. Well we are worthy, just sounded better written that way. Also, congrats on the engagement, mate. #TiestoGoals
