Snapchat has been receiving tremendous amounts of backlash in recent months towards the once beloved app. After creating an update that is very confusing and difficult, plenty of users have chosen to delete the app or express their dislike for it all over social media. The dislike for the app got so far out of hand that about 1,250,000 people signed a petition for Snapchat to convert to the old update. Unfortunately, Snapchat refused to follow the petition and chose to stand by the overcomplicated update.
Recently, it seems that Snapchat has realized a new update was finally needed to make the update much easier to use. According to TechCrunch, users have been noticing some new traits in the new update that are similar to those of the old one.
According to a statement made by Snapchat, some new changes are on its way. This especially goes to users who enjoy watching people's stories in an organized way. “Beginning soon on iOS, and with Android in the coming weeks, we are introducing tabs in Friends and Discover,” said Snapchat. Truthfully that sentence itself provides some sort of relief. “Once you receive the update, you’ll be able to sort things like Stories, Group Chats, and Subscriptions, allowing you to further customize your own experience on the app.”
The idea of being able to sort stories, subscriptions, and group chats itself makes it seem that this new update will have users falling in love again. Truthfully, the new update is very disorganized, so lets hope that Snapchat's next update won't let us down this time.
Stay tuned for more updates on the next coming update.
