19-year-old Ally Ahern is much more than meets the eye. An edgy, yet refined visual aesthetic perfectly matches her keen ear for melody and storytelling. Meshing her skills as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist with modern production, the Chicago native weaves fever dream tales of love and loss over a signature alternative pop sound.
Her one of a kind voice whispers and soars over a dynamic roller coaster of synths and 808 beats, so we only knew it was a matter of time until a remix would shine of her single ‘Suffocation', and mxwellshouse got that honor. mxwellshouse remix is a super vibey future bass remix with some really cool trap elements.
“mxwellshouse (Hugo Garibaldi), who is the son of the producer Abel Garibaldi, produced “Suffocation”. I met Hugo at a songwriting camp at School Of Rock in the Chicago area when I was 13. He showed a demo I made to his dad causing his dad to contact me, and Abel and I have been working together ever since then. Hugo would sit in during a lot of our sessions. I love both of them, and it’s crazy to think I’ve known Hugo since I was 13, because I’m 19 now. So, as always – working with him was a pleasure!” – Ally Ahern
