If you don't know KRANE by now then you've definitely been living under a rock. This man has been doing some big things over the past year, from releasing his debut album and collaborating with some of dance music's most prolific artists. There seems to be no stopping his increasing momentum.
Not only has he been busy in the studio, but also most recently he embarked on his first headlining tour. One that was filled with cities from all over the country and also included some huge supporting acts along the way such as Slumberjack, MYRNE and Alexander Lewis.
I had the pleasure of attending his final show of the tour at Rough Trade in Brooklyn, NY. The show itself was pretty crazy and rightly so. Throughout the night there was a flurry of trap, future bass and hip hop music ringing throughout the venue. From the beautifully curated trombone playing of Alexander Lewis to the hard future, trap beats played out by the all encompassing duo, Slumberjack. Every performance was top notch and each one of the artists truly brought something unique to the show itself.
Even after those two great performances by Alexander Lewis and Slumberjack, KRANE kept the energy going. His set was in the clinical and pristine KRANE style we all know and love. Marked with worldly, captivating music and enveloped with the stomping power of his great productions. It turned out to be a perfect ending to a tour that I'm sure KRANE is, and should be, very proud of doing. Now we can only wait in anticipation for the next time this great artist goes on tour and I can only figure that his shows are just going to keep getting better and better.
