After making some changes to the dates for EDC Las Vegas from June to May, fans of one of Insomniac's branded festivals have been left questioning its fate. Dreamstate, the all-trance event, has its flagship festival each November in Southern California; however, there's also a more intimate event in San Francisco that had been held each May. After announcing the move for EDC, Insomniac did not immediately release when Dreamstate San Francisco would be held…until today.
Insomniac revealed that Dreamstate will return to the city by the bay on Friday, August 17th and Saturday, August 18th at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Additionally, the two-day event will host two stages dedicated to all forms of trance music.
One major change to note is the addition of a second stage. While there are two halls on each wing of the main auditorium, it will be interesting to see how Insomniac finds the space to create a second stage in this already intimate venue. Fans on social media are also questioning the space for a second stage, many wondering if the stage would be erected outside on the gardens directly in front of the auditorium.
Over the last few years, Dreamstate San Francisco has included some of the biggest names in trance music including Gareth Emery, Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Vini Vici, Cosmic Gate, Simon Patterson, Astrix, RAM, Sean Tyas and Markus Schulz among many others.
Two-day passes will go on sale Thursday, May 3rd at 12pm Pacific Time. Click here for additional information including the official lineup when it drops!
