The prolific Marc Benjamin recently released his new track “One Chance,” and it's kept us grooving for the last week. Here he shares his Musical Guilty Pleasures with us, and you can listen to all five of his choices below.
1) Toploader – “Dancing in the Moonlight”
The perfect song to play when you’re in a happy mood and its also one of the songs I would put on when I arrived on my holiday destination. I think it's all about good vibes and great memories, it’s also one of the first pop songs I heard in my teenage years.
2) Talking Heads – “This Must Be The Place”
This is one of the songs I always play when I look forward to go home, especially after touring or when I’m away from home for a long time.
3) The Aston Shuffle vs Tommy Trash – “Sunrise” (Won't Get Lost)
If you ask me to pick one progressive song, then I’ll choose this one. It has a lot of energy and it reminds me back in the days when I was still playing as a resident DJ.
4) UK Garage – Mj Cole – “Crazy Love”
This song is one of my all-time favorite 2step UK garage songs – the vocal and production are on point. I feel like it is just magic together and the perfect example of a song that is timeless.
4) M83 – “Midnight City”
I still remember when this song came out, it was a game changer for me! You couldn’t describe what you heard, it felt like they reinvented disco, so amazing!
5) Jeremy Olander – “Let Me Feel”
Lastly I would like to choose this song, it still gives me goosebumps because the melody is just simply amazing. It’s a great tune to put on after a long week of hard work, to celebrate the weekend.
