According to many different Google Play Music users, the Google Play Music Error Code 16 is a common issue. One user reported that they haven't been able to add music to Google Play like they used to. “I've tried Chrome Browser, I've tried just putting the music in the Google Play folder on my desktop, and I've tried Google Play Music Manager. Nothing works and I get error code 16.”
There are a few different ways on how to fix Error Code 16. Since Error Code 16 is typically a third-party program error, we'll need to find ways to disable other programs that are interfering with your Google Play account.
Google Play Music Error Code 16: Option 1
- On the lower right hand of the screen, right-click and disable your anti-virus program.
- If you have installed Google Play Music Manager, reinstall it while the anti-virus has been disabled.
If you have not installed the Google Play Music Manager, please find option 2.

- Open Avast! Anti-virus
- Click to Web Scanning
- Unclick ‘Enable HTTPS scanning‘
