Illenium fans, we know how eager you all have been to listen to the full VIP that Illenium premiered at Coachella. We are glad to tell you that today is finally the day. Illenium has officialy released “Sound of Where’d You Go” featuring Said the Sky and 1788-L.
When it was first announced on Twitter that Illenium was going to drop the track during his Coachella set, everyone was anxiously waiting until the day came. When he performed the spectacular collaboration, social media was uncontrollably raving about the amazing moment. I for one was anxious to finally hear the track throughout its entirety. Surely, this track was worth the wait.
“Sound of Where’d You Go” is a truly transformed mashup from Illenium’s tracks “Sound of Walking Away” and “Where’d You Go.” What is sure to get your attention from the track is the hardcore epic drops. These drops contain the signature sounds of 1788-L, which is a glitch genre with some heavy basslines. You can’t resist head banging once you hear it. As you listen, you wouldn’t expect such a heavy drop to overpower the melody, but, successfully, it did.
This collaboration has to truly be one of the best ones released this year. This track will easily become a festival favorite. You’ll likely have this song on repeat from the moment you listen to it. I admit, I haven’t been able to stop listening to it either. I can guarantee that you will love this track.
