Just days ago, fans began to take notice of the similarities between Child Gambino's chart-topping “This Is America” and Jase Harley's “American Pharoah.” Since the accusations have gone viral, one of Donald Glover’s creative partners has denied claims that Glover “stole” the music from a 2016 song called “American Pharaoh” by Jase Harley.
This morning, Fam Rothstein (a co-principal of Wolf + Rothstein) said “The internet is a place of no consequences. I hate that Toronto Akademiks/every white blogger can say something as gospel and y’all take it. This song is 3 yrs old, and we have Pro Tools files to prove it.”
Listen to the two songs below and see if you head the similarities below.

Yeah he's talked about it a bit on IG and doesn't seem upset…but also doesn't seem to have gotten the bag either pic.twitter.com/oMFqPKgIt4

Jase Harley has since reached out via Instagram with his stance: “PLEASE DON’T let this controversy dilute the message me and @childishgambino are trying to convey. We are speaking about injustices we’ve encountered and he’s helped to provide a platform for all our voices to be heard.”
