North Coast Music Festival was forced to shut its doors early last night due to lightning strikes in the area. It was out of their control and a condition that must have been met in order for them to keep their permit. Fans were even more upset when the skies cleared and barely any serious weather was spotted from the festival grounds.
This is an unfortunate occurrence in the music festival world. But at the end of the day event organizers and public officials live by the rule of “better safe than sorry”. While last night might have made some fans upset, North Coast is holding its final day today and honoring tickets from fans who only purchased single day passes for Saturday.
DJ Snake Still Pops Up
DJ Snake was scheduled as the headliner for Saturday night. After traveling all day to make it to the festival the artist was not about to let something as small as a cancelation stop him from showing up.
DJ Snake stopped by the event, and while he could not perform spent some time meeting fans, taking pictures and just overall demonstrating that he is a one of a kind guy. Not many artists would go out of their way to make things right – but DJ Snake proves again that he is not like any other artist in the game.
Due to close proximity of lightning, event organizers had to evacuate the festival & could not reopen within the time of the permit. Due to evacuations, Fri & Sat single day tix holders will allowed entry for Sunday w/ your tickets. Full info at: https://t.co/legOtCoORu
