Earlier today it was reported that Mac Miller passed away from an apparent drug overdose. Mac Miller was found unresponsive by a friend in his San Fernando Valley home, and upon the arrival of paramedics, it was confirmed that the 26-year-old rapper was deceased.
It is tragic to have to write another article about the passing of a young artist. This year has seen the passing of many including Lil Peep, Avicii, and XXXTentacion. While Mac Miller rarely if ever strayed into the dance genres, he influenced and was appreciated by many of producers we know and love.
After his passing there has been an outpouring of support and sentiments from the entire dance music community. Below you will find many of them. Rest in peace Mac Miller, our hearts go out to your family and friends.
i remember nick took me over to macs house back in the day and i was so nervous but he was so welcoming and even offered me french toast crunch even tho i was a total stranger to him.
rest easy legend ❤️

If one heroin/OxyContin addict reads this tweet and switches over to Kratom, then this tweet was the most productive tweet we’ve ever posted. #ripmacmiller
