Anya Ray (Born Raymond Anya) is a Canadian-Cameroonian EDM and dance pop music artist based in Toronto. Anya Ray grew up between two worlds: One his family`s strong ties to folk music; and the other his great exposure to contemporary Electronic/Dance Music. He is quickly garnering international attention with his debut single WE MUST SURVIVE, a European techno, house-type feel with a little blend of pop.
The song is produced by KLAAS, to whose credits are some of the biggest names of the genre, including Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Guru Josh Project and Stromae. The single is quickly gaining views on YouTube and plays on music streaming services like Spotify and SoundCloud. His song writing skills and distinctive vocal abilities is landing him in the spotlight of outlets such as EDM star, EDM Source and Club Dance Mix.
In obedience to his parent`s dogma, Anya Ray waited till he obtained an accounting Masters degree and CPA license before he fully launched his music career. After so many years of song writing and underground performance, the singer is determined to rapidly rise to the spotlight of global EDM dance music.
The debut single has just been released in October 2018 and will be followed by another single RAIN ON ME expected in December 2018. The songs mainly touch on love relationship problems and more personal narratives speaking to life and love in the present age.
