Keerd’s Wasteland EP does what feels like fewer and fewer DJ/producers are making these days, music with meaning behind it. Keerd starts with some serious metaphysically-tinged house music, in “Tundra” letting various atmospherics and and ambient sound flow in and out. The sound allows your imagination to create some of the imagery to the bitter-sweet backdrop that’s introduced.
“Resonance Cascade” acts as a sort-of edgy mid-space, showing more of a break-influenced style among classic and tech house. “Traces of Decay” essentially fuses elements of the first and second track to deliver it’s experience, a moment that sums up Wasteland EP well.
