With over 8 months having passed since the death of Tim Bergling aka Avicii and after countless tributes from hundreds of artists, Netflix has brought back “True Stories”. The documentary offers a widely compelling look into the life and mind of the esteemed producer from when he first embarked on his journey at the young age of 17. The film includes interviews with David Guetta, Tiesto, and Nile Rogers and follows Bergling's rise to fame from the onset of his first smash hit “Levels”.
Overall, “True Stories” is a must for any lover of great music and touches on the existential questions behind the stress and pressures of life and the pursuit of success. The film was directed by Levan Tsikurishvili. Prior to the debut, he said via press release, “I wanted to do a brutally honest film about Tim as a person and not only about Avicii. Everybody knows Avicii but very few people know Tim. I think this Documentary really shows Tim’s struggle and strength of character. Being a worldwide superstar artist is not as easy as it looks on Instagram.” “True Stories” is now streaming on Netflix as of December 28th.
