Jerome Smith, aka “JS aka The Best” is making waves with his recently released album, Breaking the 4th Wall. My favorite track off the album is easily “Level up.” The track's soaring synths, bombastic bass, and vibing percussion mesh together to support Jerome's hyphy vocals as he goes hard on each verse. The tune showcases a pop sensibility that promises to have you dancing every time it comes on as Jerome delivers some of the best lyrics I've heard in awhile. One of my favorite lines in particular is, “I was raised by OGs, you were raised by IG.” In today's age, it doesn't get more real than that. Bump this one here and enjoy!
