Reynier is the moniker of Jordan Burns, an adventurous, Gold Coast free spirit writing music that captures the soul of his life. ‘Lukewarm’ is the second single off a 5 track EP titled ‘Surrender’ out in April.
Reynier – “This is one of the more upbeat songs on the upcoming EP. This song has an uplifting and positive energy to it. When listening I can imagine people on each other’s shoulders, in a crowd at a festival all singing along and grooving out.”
Reynier's sunny production in ‘Lukewarm’ challenges some of the denser lyrical themes in the track and gives it an overall lightness and hopeful disposition. In contrast, the charismatic vocals of feature vocalist KESMAR speaks of a tired relationship, fading love and when to let go. KESMAR is the artist name of Sydney’s Nathan Hawes, who made a comeback to the music world last year with a new profile and sound and his debut single ‘Feel It Again’ (co-produced by LANKS).
KESMAR – “I think collaboration is such a big part of my songwriting process. It can be so refreshing working with someone new, and especially when working with someone as talented as Jordan.”
Reynier is emerging in the industry, having only released his debut track ‘Armour feat. New Haven’ late last year. However, there is already increased support and expectations for this talented producer, and he was snatched up by Danny Harley, founder of indie label Exist. Recordings before he'd even dropped his first single. His upcoming ‘Surrender’ EP is an introduction to what we can expect from this developing artist, centering around a blissed-out expedition of self-discovery and hypnotic beats.
Reynier – “People still aren't too sure what the Reynier project is about. This is a nice little teaser of what people can start to expect.”
