Yellow Claw is three DJs from Amsterdam who are constantly pushing the limits. We had the opportunity to talk with the trio about some of their inspirations, sound and personal lives.

EDM Sauce: How did you originally get into the Electronic Music scene?
Yellow Claw: We have a very specific view on electronic music. We basically didn't like the stuff that was coming out for the last couple years. That's why, years ago, we decided to get things done in the studio ourselves.
EDM Sauce: More specifically how did you get into the Trap scene?
Yellow Claw: We love hip-hop. But it's often too soft for the club. In our opinion trap is a gift from above hahaha. We got familiar with trap because of the Flosstradamus remix of Original Don. Also we really like the BPM in trap. It combines two awesome styles; Hardstyle & Trap.
EDM Sauce: Who was one of the artists who inspired you to where you are today?
Yellow Claw: Flosstradamus. Because of their creativity and new approach on every track they make.
EDM Sauce: How would you describe your style of music and where do you see it progressing to?
Yellow Claw: We would describe it as a combination of the best ingredients of every style. We'll keep making bridges from one style to another. That's what we love and that's what we'll keep doing.
EDM Sauce: Are there any new up and comer DJs you have your eye on?
Yellow Claw: Cesqeaux. Great producer and isn't afraid to let go of the cliches in (Trap) Music.
EDM Sauce: Who is your favorite non electronic music artist?
Yellow Claw: We're big fans of Celine Dion. Her whole swag is what defines us today.
EDM Sauce: What can you tell us about any upcoming releases coming up here?
Yellow Claw: May the 3rd we release a new Dutch single. It comes with a crazy video as well. Make sure you check that out. Besides that we have a shitload of tracks that are ready to take over the world. So in the upcoming months you can expect some new filth on the internet.
EDM Sauce: If you weren't producing and DJing, where would you be?
Yellow Claw: Flipping burgers at BK. Bizzey would probably be a pornstar.
EDM Sauce: We see you DJ a lot in Holland, do you have any plans on doing a North American Tour anytime soon here?
Yellow Claw: We are planning world domination as we speak. Stay tuned mofackaz.
