Pitchfork is just a few days away, but have no fear, we have some samples of arts you would be a fool to miss! Not all of the best artists at this years festival are electronic, but we have the drill down on the sets you'll remember and tell the grand-kids about.
Let us know who you're looking forward to seeing down below in the comments.
FRIDAY
4:30 – Green Stage – Mac DeMarco
Absolutely lovable jangle-rock with a twinge of 80s guitar swirl could be the best way to start a warm weekend in Union Park. The songs glaze by, but the stoner-attitude of his lyrics don't give enough credit to his sly ability to shred through tracks.
6:25 – Green Stage – Wire
I would be remissed not to include Wire on this list. Post-punk legends from England who are getting on in their years. Check them out while you still can.
8:30 – Green Stage – Björk
Probably one of the most incredible and prolific headliners you could hope to catch at a festival, the Icelandic composer/singer/producer has consistently bent genres through her releases to craft an ever changing yet easily identifiable sound. The video and song below, “Mutual Core” is gorgeous and haunting. Expect something striking Friday night.
