One of the weirdest piece of news we came upon today was Lucky Luckayano of New York City who decided to take PLUR to the next level by surgically implanting a heart-shaped twinkle on her eyeball. Lucy will be the first in New York City to get the Safesight jewelry implant which involves the process of inserting the piece of jewelry between the sclera and the conjuctiva.
Dr. Chynn says that “It's a very thin piece of platinum that's designed for insertion on the top of the eye, it's not in the eye so there's no risk of blindness or anything at all. She could have a little bit of local bleeding. That could go away in a couple days or couple weeks. She could have an infection but we'll prevent that with antibiotics.”
