Before I start telling you guys about this awesome track, I want to wish a very happy birthday to the original artist, Aaliyah! Now onto the music speak. As an ex-trumpet player, it really gets my juices flowing when I hear expertly executed brass and sax tracks in songs. Dynohunter, consisting of Clark Smith on sax/production, Justin Ehmer on drums and Fred Reisen on bass/synth, is a group straight outta Boulder, Colorado who expertly combine live instrumentation with electronic vibes and production. Their sound captures the enchanting performance of live drumming and saxophones with the high energy and bass content of electronic genres. But let's get back to the song. Combining warbled low synthed lyrics with aliyah's soulful singing on top of a really catchy. funky hook makes me wanna get up and start grooving immediately. If this is the first time you've heard of the Mile High Trio, I strongly encourage you to go check out their other stuff on their SoundCloud. My days could use more womps and Sax, I don't know about you. The track is also available for free download. If good, free music doesn't fit your fancy, I don't know what would.
