Landing in my inbox this morning was the Need & Necessity remix of Tyga's “Let's Go Dancing”. I would categorize the song as upbeat but somehow minimalist house. The song starts off with a kick snare call and answer rhythm and culminates in a low frequency bass thumping. While the song itself is cool, I can't help but comment on the strangely offputting lyrics “Dancing with you, all night dancing” which sounds like a creepy person from the bar hanging over your shoulder and whispering in your ear. Perhaps other people who are greater house music aficianados would find the vocal track somewhat seductive, but to my ears, it simply means its time to go find the bouncer and point out whoever was saying that while too far inside your personal bubble. At the time of this post, I haven't checked out any other work from Need & Necessity but I would recommend people explore new artists as often as possible.
