Just yesterday, progressive house duo Lush & Simon uploaded their remix of Bingo Staar's country/EDM fusion single “Banjo Children” on their Soundcloud page, but since Lush & Simon completely stripped the song of its banjo, they've appropriately renamed it to “Dust Bowl Children.” And though they've taken away the banjo, they add a lot more in their own take of the song. A very energetic drum-line- fully-stocked with hi-hats, ride cymbals, toms, claps and snares- starts at the intro, while the upbeat and catchy piano riff slowly filters in. The vocals that come in at the break are peculiar compared to the vocals you'd normally hear in a progressive house song, and it is an acquired taste, but even if you don't like the vocals, hopefully it doesn't ruin the entire song for you, because the main melody at the drop that Lush & Simon provide is quite nice.
“Dust Bowl Children (Lush & Simon Remix)” will be released soon on All Around The World/Universal UK.
