This past Thursday night, Paris & Simo graced Long Beach State University and we had a chance to hang out with them before the show. Good luck to the guys this year and we're excited about seeing the way 2014 unfolds for the nice guys from Montreal.
EDM SAUCE: The past year or two has been a pretty exciting journey. Talk about what you've learned as producers and anything that has surprised you since you came onto the scene.
SIMO: These past two years have been the best for our career and our lives so far. We got the opportunity to travel everywhere and see all our fans from around the world, we just came back from Japan which was unreal.
EDM SAUCE: Coming from Canada, what kind of music influenced you before you started DJ'ing and inspired you during the process? Who do you look up to?
P&S: We have so many influences, we are both coming from a European background, growing up we listened to Eric Prydz, Axwell, Daft Punk, U2 and Lil B. Montreal is an amazing place that is accepting of New Music & trends!
EDM SAUCE: Your work on Revealed has given you some exposure to some of the biggest names in the industry. What can we look forward to in 2014 from you?
P&S: We have some collabs that we are super excited to announce! And some originals from us which we believe is our best work to date.
EDM SAUCE: For those who don't you guys very well, tell me what you think each of you brings to the table that makes you a great team.
SIMO: Simo is a magician and Paris is a Prince.
EDM SAUCE: You mentioned that Hardwell is “on your team” so to speak and you guys are pretty tight. Since getting to know him, what have you learned or has impressed you about him?
SIMO: Rob is such a nice and humble guy, we really look up to him and having him support what we do is a blessing!
EDM SAUCE: I noticed you both had a good sense of humor about technical difficulties last night. How old are both of you? How did you guys meet? How did this all get started?
SIMO: We met when Paris was djing at some sweet 16 almost 5 years ago, its all because of that night that we exist haha! We became friends ever since and have been working together since our dynamic really pushes us to get the best out of each other and out of the studio.
