As part of the Rubik's Cube 40th anniversary, a Google app has teamed together with the legendary Roland TR-808 drum machine allowing users to pair the drum sounds with each surface of the cube.

The website says that “this experiment is a mash up of cultural icons popular in the 1980s, a spin on drum machine step sequencing, and a repurposing of the Rubik’s cube for rhythm exploration.”
