From the very second it aired, the Saturday Night Live skit mocking EDM culture was destined to have a rebuttal. This retaliation didn't come in the form of vlogs or podcasts of DJ's and producers defending themselves; rather, it was much more fitting that they took the song “When Will The Bass Drop” and did exactly what they do best.
Although I cannot take the songs seriously thanks to the images of Andy Samberg behind the DJ podium playing Jenga relaying in my head whenever I listen, it makes me happy that DJ's/producers did't whine about the jab. Instead, they have taken the song and made some fun out of it.
