Aphex Twin fans were treated to a surprise unreleased 15 track album after thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign which recovered a rare vinyl LP.
The backers of the campaign ended up receiving a digital rip of the vinyl, but the actual vinyl was purchased by the creator of Minecraft for a mere $46,000.
“He's a really cool guy, and didn't even consider the charity aspect when buying it (but was really happy to hear that half is going to charity) — he's been an Aphex fan since he was young,” said the auction's orchestrator.
So I kinda paid a lot for a double LP from the '90s..
