Happy Hump Day Everyone! These next two days will be filled with music goodness in Ann Arbor with Pilar Cote & Girls Gone Vinyl hitting up Necto nightclub.
Today, Pilar Cote will be solving the midweek gloom for all those music aficionados out there by playing at the Party on the Patio. You can expect a mix of Deep House, House, Indie Dance and Techno to be bumping through the speakers tonight. Opening the night will be three equally talented artists: Nightfall, Ayinde Audio, MC Yoda.
Up next on Thursday night, will be the first night of a new monthly event called GSpot. This event is aiming to support local artists and communities in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area through music. Kicking off this new event will be the ladies from Girls Gone Vinyl. An amazing organization made up of skilled DJs and producers who are actively showing that women in the Music Industry aren't a novelty. Proving that the only difference between a man and a women DJing/producing is hard work and the passion they have for music. Opening up the night will be a DJ Holographic with some funk house sounds. Then will come the fantastic sounds of Cash4Gold and Emily Thornhill aka Thornstryker.
On August 7th, GSpot Events will be joining forces with the another fabulous organization called Girl Develop It. This is a wonderful program that aims to mix up the homogeneous community of the tech industry. GDI works to empower and assist women interested in getting into or advancing in the tech industry by hosting events that teach modern development skills and increase confidence. With the help of both men and women in the industry, they are opening minds in the future of tech.”.
There you have it, two music filled nights. Check back here to find out how they went.
