Ultra Music have a real treat for fans dropping July 28th. They have given HELENA’s recent anthem ‘Levity’ ft. vocals from Shawnee Taylor, to three different producers and let them manipulate it in their own styles. The original enjoyed a huge amount of success and you won’t be disappointed with the remixes.
New York born Fareoh steps up first with his synth dominated remix. It’s a remix that keeps many elements from the original but is typically Fareoh on the drop – a sophisticated beat with a euphoric tone. The synths are stripped right back on Maarcos’ deliverance but there is no lacking in energy. He brings his trademark Tech House style to the EP and keeps the rhythm rolling with more of a groove than the opening track. Already it’s clear the EP is going to be bringing multiple styles and sounds – providing something for everyone.
Merk & Kremont contribute a remix centred around the prominent drum pattern and dominant kicks. The synths are kept a little more modest and the track is given huge amounts of funk throughout. A real foot-mover if ever I’ve heard one. The final remix is to be decided through a remix competition run through Talenthouse. There was a huge incentive to win this, with a flight to HELENA’s Drai's nightclub residency night in Las Vegas, $500 in cash and state of the art V-MODA Cross Fade headphone included alongside an official release.
A deliciously varied EP package – the already stunning ‘Levity' is given four unique twists that will undoubtedly thrill fans. Pre order your copy here.
