Though Mike Diasio is best known for being Gigantor of the well-renowned DnB group Evol Intent, as well as being the proprietor that keeps Evol Intent going today (with Bro Safari busy making trap and Treasure Fingers busy making disco house), Diasio also goes by the stage name Computer Club, which is the pseudonym he uses to produce music outside of drum ‘n bass. However, with this brand new remix of Crosses' “The Epilogue” he did with fellow producer Dan Sena, Diasio shows off his DnB chops as he and Sena give the electronic rock tune an uptempo makeover.
As Chino Moreno's chorus intros the track, the foundational DnB elements creep underneath, slowly clawing through the heavy filtering with the intent to wreak havoc. Once they finally break free at the drop, juicy sub-bass provides steady, rhythmic vibrations throughout the verse as dark glitch squelches trade punches with higher-pitched synth hits that sound like howls from a cyber-coyote. As the break hits, the dirty-sounding synth-line lingers through Moreno's verse vocals and slowly dissipates, soon being replaced with a happier Synth melody and the instruments from the original version of the song. As the vocals reach the chorus again, the song brings back the DnB beat and further builds on the harmonious elements, soon blooming into a triumphant DnB section — though at a moment's notice, it soon drops back into the heavy-hitting part from before.
