Technoboy ‘n' Tuneboy, a.k.a. TNT, have released yet another collaborated, entitled “Digital Nation”, this time with DJ Isaac.
The track is of two distinct, contrasting styles; the first phase is an ode to the old-school, pulsating kick-and-bass sequence that was prevalent in hardstyle's infancy. Eventually an anthemic melody transitions to a contemporary climax that we've come to expect: a massive kick with a prominent tail-end hums.
Both style aren't anything new per se, but when pitted against each other, the styles contrast each other and generate more energy in doing so. No need for a drop when you have expertly crafted transitions.
Reverse bass is beginning to make a triumphant comeback in much of the new hardstyle production — a welcomed return by many hardstyle traditionalists. Flatter tok kicks are coming back, sparring against the once uber-popular pitched kicks, made popular by Headhunterz and Noisecontrollers.
