Flashback Friday for most of us 90's babies reminds us of slow rock jams and cartoons. Nothing really says folksy 90's rock and lazy days after school playing video games like Tracy Champan. And here's a remix that does the song some justice. The Tailors put this tech house remix together and it's pretty awesome. The intro is sped up, Tracy's vocals get put in some interesting arrangement spots, and before you know it, you're in elementary school again.
The Tailors are two Dutch producers making soulful electronica. They've got a pretty nice following overseas. Check them out at the links below and have a listen.
“Give Me One Reason” by Tracy Chapman was a blues rock hit on her 1995 album, “New Beginning.” She won a Grammy for the track. It's a certified platinum track. She performed it live with Eric Clapton on a special Christmas album. This remix just enhances the melody with some additions and tasteful house edits.
Check it out and enjoy. By the way, Tracy Chapman turned 50 years old this past March.
