If you're looking for a hot free download, look no further than than former Major Lazer DJ Switch's latest project release. Switch linked up with Rick Trainor from Los Angeles and called their duo “With You,” officially remixing “Gully” by Baltimore rapper Spank Rock. “Gully” has some subtle similarities to Major Lazer's early work with a bouncy beat that meshes well with Spank Rock's effortlessly gritty verses. Check out the full album on iTunes and grab “Gully” as a limited time free download. By the end of the day, it will be an album-only purchase.
Since Diplo formed Major Lazer in 2008, Switch was his only partner, making one full album called Guns Don't Kill People…Lazers Do. They also co-produced the hit single “Paper Planes” with M.I.A. that year. After the split in 2011, Diplo is the only random white dude on team Lazer. The new trio has reached great heights with MC/producer Walshy Fire and Jillionaire from Trinidad, not to mention dancers Lafayette Bless and Mela Murder. Rooted in house music, British native Switch has continued to work with M.I.A in recent months.
