These days with DJs appearing in charts like the ‘Top Paid Artists Of 2014', it's great to know that some of them like Carnage are putting their money to good use. By now you've probably heard about (or maybe were lucky enough to experience) Carnage shooting $10k in cash out of his confetti cannons at his fans a few weeks back. Earlier today Carnage posted on his Facebook page that he had recently opened a school in Nicaragua along with his story of why he decided to do so. The story slaps you in the face with a reality check to say the least.
Although Carnage originates from Guatemala (where he also plans to place another school in the future), he explains that his experience with poverty in Nicaragua was far worse, and the need for education far greater. He tells about everything from gang violence outside his front door to his family eating only raw onions and tomatoes to stay alive.
“Now that I’m living this incredible life I’m blessed with the money that comes with it. I decided to use this money to give back to what raised me. Mi Tierra.”
