Fresh off the Australian festival season circuit, Dillon Francis stopped by Summer Arvos with Kyran Wheatley for a rather revealing interview. Besides announcing he has officially become an Australian citizen by doing a ‘Shoe-ie” at Sydney's Field Day, the self-proclaimed class clown of EDM has announced he will be filming a pilot for MTV. Yes, you read that correctly, Dillon Francis may actually have his own TV show in 2015.
It doesn't come to much surprise that the DJ with multiple characters on social media would have the opportunity to film a pilot for MTV. Dillon's fully developed personalities like DJ Hanzel, Becky, and Treva have become so popular it has left fans wanting more. Filming for the pilot begins this January. Unfortunately, DJ Hanzel and Treva will not be making appearances on the show as MTV wants to take the rights to his characters and Dillon would like to keep them.
Dillon goes on in the interview to talk about breaking out of the mold in the EDM scene, tattoos he regrets, remixing Madeon‘s ‘Imperium', the importance of Albums in the dance community, and how
DJ Hanzel's end goal is to buy a submarine and have the deepest house party in the world.
