Bonnaroo Music And Arts Festival is spreading some serious hype in January for their upcoming installment and it's all revolving around a special documentary (the festival takes place June 11-13 in Manchester, Tennessee). First, fans will collectively help announce the lineup on Tuesday when Bonnaroo representatives will inform fan callers (maybe you) by phone from 6-9 PM Eastern Time with one name of an artist on the lineup and encourage them to share the news via social media with #Bonnaroo on Twitter, Instagram, or Vine… which will land the info on their website. Stay with us.
While the names roll in on their website, fans can enjoy a sneak peak of a new Documentary that will feature Skrillex and his all-star band that performed last year at Bonnaroo with band members from The Doors, The Grateful Dead, Warpaint, and Incubus. Watch the trailer below! The seven-part documentary will premiere on January 20th over on AT&T U-Verse with special appearances by Lauryn Hill, A$AP Ferg, Jangle Monae, Damian Marley, Craig Robinson, and more.
As Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic says in the teaser, “It's historic because we are for the first time mixing electronic music with a full, live band.” This trailer is sure to get your heart rate going and it will be a momentous occasion to see Skrillex merge the gap between EDM and rock and roll on film. Check it out.
The lineup announcement on Tuesday has it's own Facebook page as well and it's sure to create a lot of buzz with the sneak peek. Check out Bonnaroo on Facebook and their website for the full release. Mark your calendars for January 20th and get involved on Tuesday.
