Hardstyle sensation Wildstylez (Joram Metekohy) is about to play the last couple of shows of his first headlining US tour: the Lose Control Tour, which has seen the the Dutch DJ visit seven different cities in a span of 14 days.
Wildstylez is one of hardstyle's most recognized artists, constantly being a part of DJ Mag's Top 100 poll (coming in at 95 last year) and releasing hard dance anthems such as Lose My Mind and Year Of Summer.
What's next for one of the godfathers of Q-Dance alongside Brennan Heart? Will he play at more locations? Does he have any releases coming up? And, has he talked to deadmau5 after the 2014 Twitter feud? He answers those questions and more in this exclusive interview:
Q: Why should people go to the Lose Control tour/ What motivated you to go on tour?
A: They should come if they’re into having some fun and want to lose control. ;) Touring and being on the road always gives me inspiration and I enjoy meeting new crowds as I want to interact with them and like to see what they’re into music-wise. That keeps me motivated in the studio and gives me inspiration for new tracks.
Q: What has been the crowd's reception thus far?
A: I’m blown away by how well they know my tracks! They know the lyrics and everything, that still gives me goosebumps! The American crowd are really going for it and I enjoy meeting them all.
Q: What's your favorite venue to play at in the U.S.?
A: One of my highlights was playing at Webster Hall in NYC.
Q: Are you planning on increasing the tour to more cities?
A: I hope so!
Q: Do you ever get stressed out while on tour? If so, how do you combat that?
A: Well sometimes. I mean there's always some business stuff going on back home, but with the time difference it's really hard to communicate.
Q: What can we expect from Wildstylez in 2015 musically and tour/performance wise?
A: I will release an album at the beginning of Spring this year and will be playing at festivals and venues all around the world.
Goooooodmorning!!! Hope you all have a great week <3

Q: How would you describe your style? Are you thinking of changing anything about it?
A: I always try to keep evolve and cross boundaries. I think the best way to describe my music style is everything and in between the harder sides of dance.
Q: What artists would you like to collaborate with the most?
A: That’s a tough one, as it’s hard to choose. But I would definitely make time for Sia, love her voice sooo much!
Q: How long does it take you to make a track (from inception to the final product)?
A: That depends. I usually don’t work with deadlines when it comes to my own tracks. There are days I can finish a track within a day and there are days that it takes a week or even months.
Q: Who is your biggest musical inspiration?
A: I can get inspiration from all kinds of things really like being on the road, watching a movie or listening to the radio, so I don’t have a particular person or thing that gives me inspiration.
Q: It's been a long time since the Twitter feud with deadmau5. Have you had any contact with him since? If so, what's it been like?
A: Nope, haven’t seen or spoke to him..
