Swedish house duo Axwell /\ Ingrosso just released the official video for “Something New” via Snapchat Discover and via Vice.
The 3-minute long video, which will be fully released tomorrow at 9 a.m. ET, takes viewers on a long journey through the desert in which all kinds of people are proudly singing along, including buddhist monks, cholos, quinceañeras, hipsters and more.
There was already a lyric video available for the track and two different fan videos but this is the first official video the producers have released ever since breaking off from Swedish House Mafia. Both fan videos seem to better better encompass the feeling of the song and the genre. You can see the first one HERE and the second one HERE.
“Something New” features vocals from Salem Al Fakir who is famous for singing in Avicii‘s “Silhouettes” and “Hey Brother” and was co-written by Vincent Pontare, who is known for writing “Save the World,” “Reload” and many more.
The video isn't as action-packed or colorful as many EDM videos normally are but PLUR is evident as people from all aspects of life are joyously coexisting. Also, there is a pig! Free EDM Sauce gear to whoever finds the pig!*
“Something New” was originally released on November 27, 2014. It was just announced two days ago that Axwell /\ Ingrosso will be headlining Tomorrowland on Saturday, June 25.
