Today, only a few days following the release of their old friend Rain Man's ‘Visionary', Krewella released their own single, their second since the split. Titled ‘Somewhere to Run', the track fits with the duo's new direction, featuring the always gorgeous vocals of Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf over a rock-infused electro instrumental. Personally, I was not a fan of ‘Say Goodbye', but, and maybe it is due to the recent closure— does that word fit? —between Krewella and Kris, but ‘Somewhere to Run' well exceeded my expectations!
Back in 2011, four long years ago, Krewella gifted us with their new and unique style, however, that style is no longer quite what we will be hearing from them, nor will we ever hear it from them again. Yes, it is sad, as is it unfortunate, but it is true, and although it may seem that way, do not get worked up over it… Why? Well, with the releases of their (Krewella and Rain Man) own separate singles in this past week, it is time to accept that, NOT ONLY have the Yousaf's and Kris taken different paths, but ALSO both will be quite alright, continuing their respected careers without the other!
